Bienvenu, Pauline

Daughter of Hazel Estelle Newton Bienvenu (q.v.); graduated Louisiana School for the Deaf 1949-1962; entered Gallaudet College in 1962 but withdrew in 1965. Married Ed Wood (also deaf) in 1966. Both she and her husband returned to Gallaudet to complete their studies, both graduating 1974; both taught at the Alabama School for the Deaf 1974-1977. She earned a master's degree in 1977, and both got new jobs teaching at the Louisiana School. She planned to retire in 2005.
