Summary
Transferred to Gallaudet College from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in 1981; graduated 1983. While at Gallaudet, she took the scuba diving course and became hooked. Advanced courses elsewhere followed and eventually she became a certified scuba instructor at Gallaudet, teaching scuba diving to president I. King Jordan among others. Married a hearing man who was also a dive master.
