Kurzet, Modela Jan

Born deaf to deaf parents as Modela Kurzetkowski in Gdansk, Poland. Attended the school for the deaf in Wejherowie, Poland. Family emigrated to Canada in 1983, settling in Toronto, ON, and she spent 1 year in the Greater Toronto School for the Deaf before transferring to Danforth Technical School 1995-1998. Acting classes at the New School of Drama and the Granton Institute of Technology. Acted in many short films, commercials and public service announcements; also a small walk-on role in the theatrical film Mrs. Winterbourne.
