Summary
Born at Carman, Manitoba, Canada; deafened at age 3 by scarlet fever; graduated the school for the deaf, Winnipeg, Manitoba; B.S. (1934) from Gallaudet College. While still in school, she won recognition for her painting and was exhibited widely, including the Chicago World's Fair, 1933, and the International Exhibition of Fine and Applied Arts by Deaf Artists, 1934. Taught at the Saskatchewan School for the Deaf 1934-1940. After marrying Hubert Joseph Sellner of Minnesota, left Canada to teach at the Minnesota School for the Deaf.
