Summary
Native of Nachitoches, LA; attended the Southern School for the Deaf (now part of the Louisiana School for the Deaf)., where he first revealed a gift for mime and acting. After graduation, worked briefly in his father's laundry/drycleaming business, then attended Delgado College, where he saw a National Theatre of the Deaf performance in 1971, and was invited to join the NTD company. Performed with NTD for 8 years, then became a sign language teacher at Delgado College from 1979 on.
