Summary
Born at Tuscaloosa, AL; graduated from the Kentucky School for the Deaf 1843-1847. Teacher and boys' supervisor at the Kentucky School 1847-1865, with time out to serve in the Union Army (state militia) during the Civil War, then returned to teaching at the Kentucky School before his early death. His son was William Jacobs Blount (q.v.).
