Summary
Deafened at 2 1/2 from scarlet fever; attended the California School for the Deaf (Berkeley), 1879-1883; studied in Paris 1893-1898 in the Academie Julian; returned to California to paint. Was a friend of Charlie Chaplin, and had bit parts in several Chaplin films, including A Dog's Life and The Kid; died at Los Angeles.
