Attended the National Institute for the Deaf, Paris, and several other schools; first deaf woman to earn a doctorate from the Sorbonne (1932), and probably the first deaf woman in all Europe to earn a doctorate. Held a civil service position in Versailles for 2 years; wrote Marie Leneru, Sa Vie, Son Journal, Son Theatre and other writings on deaf playwright Marie LenTru (q.v.).
