Dysart, Richard A.

Hard of hearing (late-deafened). Born at Augusta, ME. Served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force during the early 1950s, then entered acting via minor Broadway roles in the mid-1950s, working his way up to film and television. Eventually become one of the stars in the popular TV series L.A. Law (1986-1994); wore hearing aids on the show; member of the Gallaudet University Board of Trustees for several years.
