Summary
The only student known by name, out of 10, who were enrolled in the first class of Ronald MacDonald's school for the deaf in Quebec city in 1831. They were the first Canadian deaf children to receive an education in Canada, though a few had previously been sent to schools for the deaf in Britain or the United States. Caron was later appointed principal and tutor in Canada's second school for the deaf, a self-contained class in the College Saint Hyacinthe at Quebec.
