              Summary
              Born at Penhold, AB and deafened at age 2 from unknown causes. Attended the Manitoba School for the Deaf 1937-1940, then the Mackay School for the Deaf 1940-1947. After graduation, worked in a knitting factory, a bakery, and a casket factory. In 1978, she began teaching ASL at Mount Royal College in Calgary until her 1996 retirement, but continued teaching ASL sporadically after that. Married Frank Gilliam Lilley, also deaf.
