McCartney, Brian

Born at Philadelphia; deafness not discovered until age 3. After high school, B.A. (1972) from Susquehanna University, then a master's from Teachers College of Columbia University. Second master's in special education; in 1979, was a Ph.D. student. After getting his B.A., taught at the Lexington School for the Deaf; also taught evening adult basic education courses for the deaf 1974-1975.
