Summary
Attended the Ontario School for the Deaf, Belleville 1930-1941. In 1943, became one of the earliest known deaf pro football players when he played for the Ottowa Rough Riders in the Canadian Football League. Prior to that, he had played in amateur and semiprofessional football and rugby teams. Married Jean Viola McLaren in 1947. Worked as a Monotype keyboard operator with the Canadian Government Printing Bureau 1948-1977.
