Summary
Born and raised in Wagner, SD; attended the South Dakota School for the Deaf 1949-1963. He set several regional and national records in high school track and field events. Selected for the U.S team at the 1961 World Games for the Deaf (Helsinki, Finland), he unfortunately took ill during training and did not recover well enough in time to take any medals. Inducted into the SD Association of the Deaf Hall of Fame, 2000.
