Summary
Born at Mt. Egypt, OH; deaf from typhoid fever at age 9 months, but partial hearing returned at age 5. Attended the Ohio School for the Deaf 1882-1888, then went into the carpentry trade. He built the large barn for the Ohio Home for the Aged and Infirm Deaf at Central College, OH, in 1901.
