Summary
Attended the Manilla school for the deaf in Stockholm, 1841-1848, then the Free Art Academy, 1851-1853. Went to sea for a while, then continued art studies at schools in Germany and France before returning to Sweden. Painted mostly nature and sea scenes. One of the founders of the Stockholm Deaf Association in 1868. Some of his paintings are in Swedish museums and collections.
