Summary
Hearing; eldest son of Edward Allen Fay (q.v.) and deaf mother Helen Bradshaw Fay. Bachelor's degree (1894) and M.A. (1895) from Harvard University. Assistant in Spanish at Harvard, then joined the Gallaudet College faculty in 1897 to teach Latin. Also assistant editor of the American Annals of the Deaf from 1914 until his untimely early death.
