Buzgalo, Uzi

Born deaf at Afula, Israel; entered the Jerusalem School for the Deaf at age 6, graduating 9 years later. Studied art at museums in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv plus an art residency program in Haifa. Joined the Kol Demama deaf dance troupe, but left in 1983 to pursue his art interests. Became a US resident in 1986 and a US citizen in 1995. Married American Anne Marie Baer, also deaf, who acted as his agent. His work is represented in collections in the U.S., Israel, Switzerland, Germany and Belgium.
