              Summary
              Born deaf at Powell River, BC and attended public schools until age 10, then Jericho Hill School for the Deaf and Blind, graduating 1968. Competition swimmer, particpating in the 1965 and 1969 World Games for the Deaf, winning several medals. Gallaudet College 1975-1977, dropping out to get married to Gordon Douglas Rydall, also deaf, and began a family. When the children became older, she took ASL training workshops and computer business application courses, returning to the workforce in the mid 1990s at several places.
