Summary
Hearing. Co-founder, with her sister Emma Garrett (q.v.), of the Pennsylvania Home for the Training in Speech of Deaf Children Before They Are of School Age (also known as the Bala Home), and served as a teacher there. After her sister's suicide, Mary took over as superintendent.
