Born deaf at St. John, NB; mainstreamed in St. John public schools 1969-1980, then attended the Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf 1980-graduation 1985. 2-year nursing certificate from St. Lawrence College, 1987. Worked in a nursing home and an elderly-care facility, then counselor, coordinator and teacher of ASL at the Canadian Hearing Society 1990-1995. From 1995 onward, employed as ASL instructor at Queen's University, St. Lawrence College, and the Brockville [ON] Board of Educaiton.
