Summary
Born at Salt Lake City, UT; identical twin of Arthur W. Wenger (q.v.); deafened by scarlet fever at age 2; graduated the Utah School for the Deaf; attended Gallaudet College through his junior year; graduated the University of Utah (B.A., 1918, and M.A., 1920). With his twin, Arthur, founded Wenger Laboratories (1938) in Salt Lake City; honorary D.Sc. from Gallaudet College, 1973. Established the first blood bank in the state of Utah; chemist for 400 staff physicians at the Latter-Day Saints Hospital.
