Summary
Hearing. Magistrate for the city of Rostock, teacher in a (hearing) Luneburg grammar school, and pastor of a church. Of his 6 children, 3 daughters were deaf. He taught them himself using the methods of Johann Konrad Ammann (q.v.), with the ultimately successful aim of passing their church confirmation ceremonies. The oldest deaf daughter died at age 20; neither her name nor that of the other deaf siblings is known.
