Summary
Born deaf at Oklahoma City; attended the John Tracy Clinic beginning age 2, then enrolled at California School for the Deaf, Riverside. BFA from Gallaudet University and MFA from George Washington University. Worked as a visual information specialist for the US Department of Justice before joining the Gallaudet University faculty as a professor in the art department. Did sign language illustrations for several book publishers, and had several exhibitions of his artworks.
