Scoggins, Bobbie Beth

Born into a deaf family in Texas (maiden surname Bridges). Played the lead in the Dallas, TX stage production of Children of a Lesser God. Silver medalist in swimming in the 1973 World Games for the Deaf and in volleyball in the 1977 WGD. BA and MA degrees from California State University, Northridge and Ed.D. from Pepperdine University. First president of the USA Deaf Sports Federation in 1998. Executive director of the Kentucky Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing; part-time actress in regional theater and television.
