Summary
Born deaf at LaPorte, IN; graduated Indiana School for the Deaf in 1970 and Gallaudet College in 1974. While at Gallaudet, met Canadian deaf man Robert M. Cundy and married him, taking Canadian citizenship when she moved to Canada with him. Further coursework at California State University, Northridge, and master's degree from University of Alberta in 1988. Taught 1976-1997 at Alberta School for the Deaf, including vice-principal for 2 years. Became an educational consultant for the deaf and hard of hearing in northern Alberta. Also said to be the originator of the ASL version of the Canadian national anthem.
