Born at Salt Lake City, UT; identical twin of Ray Grayson Wenger (q.v.); deafened by scarlet fever at age 2; graduated the Utah School for the Deaf; attended Gallaudet College through his junior year; graduated the University of Utah (B.A., 1922, and M.A.). With his twin, Ray, founded Wenger Laboratories (1938) in Salt Lake City; honorary D.Sc. from Gallaudet College, 1973.
