Summary
Born and grew up on the Mohawk Nation reservation; attended St. Mary's School for the Deaf (Buffalo, NY) for a year, then to the McKay Center for the deaf in Montreal for a few years, finally graduating the Ontario School for the Deaf 1981. Struggled with drug and alcohol abuse, going into and out of rehabilitation programs and finally being jailed for selling cocaine. Released in 2001, she endeavored to continue overcoming her addictions, and hoped to help other Native Americans and Deaf people become aware of the dangers of drug use. Worked at the First Nations Lures Factory.
