Summary
Played as an infielder in baseball minor leagues for two seasons, 1890 and 1897. Made clarinets and saxophones for the Conn Company for 52 years; subject of a 1940 "Ripley's Believe It or Not!" panel. Two other deaf people, unidentified, are said to have retired in the 1990s after 40 years of building ukeles for the Kamaka Ukele Factory in Hawaii.
