Summary
Born at McLennan, AB and deafened at 18 months by scarlet fever. Attended the Institution des Sourdes in Montreal, graduating 1954; worked as a seamstress in her home town 2 years, then resettled in Sudbury, ON amd wplred as a diet cook for a hospital. She also married Roger St. Louis, also deaf. They began advocating for inclusion of deaf Francophone pupils in the Ontario public school system and for recognition and acceptance of Langue des Signes Francaises (LSQ). First he, then she, became instructors of LSQ in various Ontario locations.
