In 1965, became a faculty member at California State University, Northridge, where he established the Leadership Training Program for the Deaf. Member of the Gallaudet University Board of Trustees, 1969-1972; Dean of the College of Continuing Education at Gallaudet beginning in 1972, later Gallaudet's Vice President of Public Services until retirement.
