Summary
Arrested and tried on felony charges, he was tortured almost to death in an effort to make him speak and plea guilty. When that failed, he was found guilty anyway and sentenced to "transportation" (exile) to the American colonies. He arrived in Maryland in April 1734, then disappeared from history.
