Summary
Born at Calgary, AB and deafened at 18 months of age by German measles. Attended several mainstreamed public schools in Calgary 1969-1976, then at age 12 entered the Alberta School for the Deaf until graduation 1982. 1983-1984 winner of the Miss Deaf Alberta title. Alberta College 1982-1984, worked at several temporary jobs, then more courses at Career College (Calgary). Became a travelling advocate for deaf children and youth, teaching ASL, Deaf culture, and Deaf values. In 2002, was studying at Douglas College and hoped to continue her education towards a degree in deaf education.
