Summary
Born at Montreal; attended St. George's for the elementary schools and Selwyn House for the higher years. Attended Lower Canada College, then graduated Bishop's University. Studied English at New College in Oxford, England, where boyhood interest in art was intensified and made formal. After painting in MontrTal for a year, he decided to live in France, where he remained.
