Gould, Lyman Nelson

Born in Mobile, AL; cause of deafness unknown. Attended the Institution for the Deaf and Dumb at Talladega, AL, then worked briefly as a printer before becoming a cigar-maker for 7 years. Changed fields to the lumber business before going into pattern-making for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad.
