Summary
Born at Wilmington, DE; deafened by meningitis at age 3 1/2. Attended the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (Mt. Airy), the New Jersey School for the Deaf, and graduated Gallaudet College (1925). In 1927, took a position with the Hispanic Society of America in New York City, where she organized the photographic collection and photographed the Society's collection of artworks and other objects. Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and French. Also involved with relief societies for victims of World War II.
