Summary
Born deaf into a family that had 44 deaf members over 5 generations. Graduated the Maryland School for the Deaf and the University of Baltimore. MBA from San Francisco State University, then worked at California State University Northridge. Went to Greece 1 1/2 years for IBM, then became a travel agent in California, eventually setting up his own travel agency. It failed, and he became a program coordinator for the deaf at Honolulu Community College. When funding for that program was lost, be became an independent tax and bookkeeping accountant before going to Houston, TX as a cash manager for an optician chain. That chain then went out of business, and with his deaf wife he started a fashion business for 2 years, then established the Communications Unlimited company to sell assistive devices and other deaf-related merchandise.
