Summary
Hard of hearing (late-deafened). Said to have lost his hearing during a fight on a baseball field during college, when he was struck on the head by a baseball bat. Became a well-known financier and financial advisor to several U.S. Presidents. He openly wore his hearing aid everywhere. Baruch College, part of The City University of New York, is named in his honor.
