Summary
During his student days at the Michigan School for the Deaf, organized a fraternal club among his classmates that after their graduation eventually developed into The Fraternal Society of the Deaf (1901), parent of the National Fraternal Society of the Deaf. He is considered the chief founder of the NFSD.
