Summary
Born deaf in Arkansas; attended the Arkansas School for the Deaf. Came to California in 1942 to work in a wartime aircraft factory as an assembler. After marrying Kyle Workman (q.v.) in 1945, worked for a Los Angeles newspaper as a typesetter for telephone directories for 4 years, then apparently quit to raise a family. Followed her husband into retirement in 1979 at Perris, CA.
