Peet, Elizabeth

Hearing daughter of Isaac Lewis Peet (hearing, q.v.) and Mary Toles Peet (deaf, q.v.). B.A. George Washington University, 1918; honrary M.A. from Gallaudet 1922, honorary doctorate of pedagogy from GWU 1937, and honorary doctorate of humane letters from Gallaudet in 1950 . Was a teacher and Dean of Women at Gallaudet College for many years. Peet Hall on the Gallaudet University campus is named in her honor.
