Goodbrand, James

Deaf at 3 from scarlet fever; attended the Ontario Institution for the Instruction of the Deaf and Dumb 1883-1891. Worked for some years as a stonemason. Married Mary Matilda Lafferty in 1900. From 1905 to 1914, homesteaded a farm at Lipton, ON, then another one near Dysart 1914-1922. Moved to Windsor, ON in 1922, then to Brantford, ON in 1926 for the rest of his life.
