Summary
Born at Vancouver, BC; deaf at 18 months; Jericho Hill School for the Deaf, 1955-graduation in 1970. Attended Gallaudet College for 2 years but left to marry Dale Edward Birley, hard of hearing. Took a data entry program and worked in keypunching and other clerical tasks for several companies. In 2002, she was taking college prep courses in hopes of reentering Gallaudet University and finishing her degree.
