Joyce, Heather Marie

Born at Halifax, NS; deafness from unknown causes discovered at age 6. Attended St. Catherine's School, Halifax, then graduated high school at Armbrae Academy. Graduated Dalhousie University in 1986 with a geology degree; worked for the Canadian government and for private industry on a contract basis until 1988, when she went to work for Canadian Hydrographic Services.
