Together with Annie Lavina MacPhail (q.v.), was one of the first two deaf female Canadians to graduate Gallaudet College, 1898-1903. Previously attended the Ontario Institution, 1886-1896, and the Kendall School, 1896-1898. Married Edward Chester Pickard in 1923 and dwelt in Toronto.
