Moyer, Sonya Theresa

Born deaf at Medicine Hat, AB and graduated the Alberta School for the Deaf, 1955-1970. Graduated Gallaudet College in 1975 with a psychology BA; worked 1976-1983 as a psychiatric attendant at Center State Hospital in Indiana. Returning to Canada, she worked for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as a computer clerk. Openly lesbian, in 1991 she became partner to a hearing woman in a Unitarian Church union ceremony, but later they parted.
