Summary
1981 graduate of Kansas School for the Deaf; said to be the first deaf person to own his own music recording company, SDB Records. Had a Top Ten hit on MTV in 1987. Creator of what he called "Deaf Music", which included drums, multi-complex sound systems, a light show moving to the drum beats, fog and snow machines, and inflated balloons handed out to the audience for feeling the vibrations. Offered musical performance bookings for deaf events. First deaf person to have a "top ten" on MTV (1987).
