B.A. 1980 from the University of Saskatchewan, M.L.S. 1984 from University of Alberta, another B.A. and B.Ed. 1985 from University of Saskatchewan, plus 1 year of graduate study at Gallaudet College to qualify for a certification in deaf education. Professional experience began with a variety of consulting and teaching positions, including teaching at the R.J.D. Later, owned and operated two business: eClear Consulting (instructional design and training) and The Lang Tree (parent-teacher services for the deaf and hard of hearing).
