              Apparently the innocent cause of the Wounded Knee massacre, when he did not lay down his rifle as ordered by U.S. troops, since of course he did not hear their command. The rifle accidently went off when a soldier tried to wrest it from Black Coyote, causing a panic that triggered the battle.
