Gauthier, Mary Joan Kohlman

Born deaf at Grasswerder, SK; apparently not educated until entering the Saskatchewan School for the Deaf at age 12 in 1938, graduating 1946. Worked in a hospital laundry department, then married Gaston Grauthier (also deaf) and worked for another hospital for 3 more years. Took time out to raise a family, then in 1973 returned to the workforce as an assistant in a public library until retirement in 1991.
